The organic, water-processed decaf (no ethanol used just water!) has arrived and we’ve been roasting. It’s roasting a little on the dark of medium side to give you a decaf coffee that is surprisingly full-bodied in spite of having the caffeine washed away with the classic coffee taste you love. This is a coffee to drink if you enjoy the taste and don’t need or want the caffeine. The beans are shade grown in Guatemala and have a very nice fruited brightness balanced with background chocolate notes and a hint of florals with a delicious creaminess to the finish. It’s so good I thought Bryan brewed me a cup of caffeinated coffee after dinner one night! $14 for a 8 oz bag. (Our cost of these beans is more than 2x the price of our regular beans)
